| Course/Casual Class |

Casual classes are a useful way to gain an insight into the Iyengar style of yoga and to gauge the professionalism of the school and it's instructors. These classes also provide an option for those people who wish to attend classes at the school but arrive partway through a term. However casual classes are by nature limited in scope, particularly at beginner's level. That is if a class is always open to people attending for the first time and they are to be treated respectfully and safely then the class has to remain at a very introductory level.
Courses are ultimately a much better option and the major reason Geelong City Yoga operates almost exclusively on this basis. Courses enable a progressive curriculum to be systematically introduced and class numbers to be capped at a level that allows for individual attention. Yoga places great importance on focus and commitment. Qualities essential to the success of any endeavor.Being enrolled in a course encourages regularity and depth in your practice.
Make-up classes allow flexibility for those people enroled in courses. If you are unable to make your regular class you can do a 'make-up' class and come to anyone of the other classes of the same level (max 3 per term) at any time throughout the term.
(For both us and you it is preferable that you mantain a regular class time. However we do understand that this is not always possible and will do our upmost to accomodate you. It is in our interest that your experience at GeelongCity Yoga is rewarding and that you receive good value for your financial outlay.) |
